For any person the simple answer is, Dharma means LIVE AND LET LIVE. When we look into the creation of everything around us, the flore and fauna, the first question we should ask ourselves, Who and Why these animals, birds and the trees etc are created? The why aspect of the query is a question is difficult to answer. But for who created, The answer is universally accepted UNKNOWN POWER, The GOD. But our quest is know about dharma. But, Under creation, we, the human beings also are included.
The creation of lives, (jeevas) is too many to list. Broadly can be grouped into two categoties.
- Lives which are mobile
- Lives which are stationery.
The birds the animals and the human beings come under category 1. The trees and plants fall into category 2.The human beings,in the creation of God, have a unique place. they have a boon of communication, logic thinking and analytical mind. Probably, the unseen super power, which we personify and call GOD, has provided this infrastructurein human beings to represent him on this earth, to enforce the rule that all the living entities created by god are equal and have equal right to live peacefully on this earth. Thus "TO LIVE AND LET LIVE" is the main mantra. And following the path envisaged by this mantra,is one ofthe organs of Dharma.
Any violation to this mantra, leading to destruction and elimination of SANKULA of living entities, be it mobile or stationery, creates the path of adharma, which should be nipped in the bud by the representative of GOD, the man. The human. If he fails to take any action to destroy the path of Adharma and create an enviornment to follow the moola or main mantra of Dharma, then Dharma, without anyone taking care of it, will collapse. The great saying "dharmo rakshati, rakshataha" will cease to exist.
When such a situation,is created by the representative of god, He Himself should see that The dharma is established on this earth again. For this, he has take an avatara on this earth, and eleminate the elements who are resposible for the decline dharmic way of life and decease of Dharma.
